student loans seems to be easier than qualifying for scholarships but there is a basic difference between them. One has to pay back student loans with interest whereas the scholarships do not contain repayment clause.
Scholarships were less competitive in those days when tuition fees, university fees and other mandatory expenditures for higher education were not so high. Few students used to apply for scholarships which were awarded in those times. Today the rising costs have cast its shadow over the scholarships and its eligibilities too. Scholarships have become much competitive because more and more students are applying for them. Still there are plentiful of scholarships available for the students in United States . One has to spend some time in searching for scholarships. The time spend in searching is worthy because the end result is free money you get for your university fees.
